Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori - Māori Language Week

The kaupapa for Māori language week 2016 is 'ākina te reo' – 'behind you all the way', which is about using te reo Māori to support people, to inspire and to cheer on.

In honour of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Māori Language Week, we will be introducing a kupu o te rā (word of the day) for the week - plus some simple Māori terms and phrases.

Our Māori language and culture is an enormous part of our sport and we think it should be celebrated every day!

Let us know in the comments any kupu you would like to see us share!

For information about Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori check the website for more info and tips to improve your te reo: http://www.tetaurawhiri.govt.nz/what-we-do/events-and-promotions/maori-language-week/2016-maori-language-week/
