Poor Knights Crossing 2016: Welcome Vaaka

The Poor Knights Crossing team are pleased to announce that Vaaka have climbed on board for this year’s race.

For those of you who haven’t cottoned on yet, Vaaka have developed some ground breaking technology for paddle sports that give real time accurate feedback on your paddle form.  Now you might get you sticky paws on a Vaaka Cadence unit with two units up for grabs at this year’s race!

You only have to do one thing….

For those of you still wondering what  Vaaka Cadence unit can do, read this:

Vaaka is performance technology for paddle sports. There are only two paddling variables that generate more speed, stroke rate and distance per stroke.

Our philosophy is  "What you don't measure you can't manage".

With Vaaka you see your stroke rate in real time as you paddle. There is nothing like seeing your stroke rate decline while racing to keep you honest and motivate that extra bit of training. Use stroke rate data to know your training intensity, and structure your workouts. Work on your distance per stroke by comparing stroke rate and speed and record your training and racing so you can build on your strengths and work harder on your weaknesses. Recording data using Vaaka allows you to monitor your progress and identify what training is working for you.
