We wish all our waka ama whānau a happy and safe summer hararei. The Waka Ama Aotearoa NZ Office will be closed from 19 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, with emails checked intermittently for Sprint Nationals club administration. Please paddle safely and use the Waka Ama Safety resources on our website. We look forward to seeing many of you at Karāpiro in January 2026 for our biggest Nationals yet.

Well another year of TPOTI Regional Sprint Champs is done and dusted! But we're not finished yet! With a 16% increase in entry numbers we were officially the largest regional sprints in Aotearoa New Zealand and also it was our largest Regionals ever! We're wanting those who attended to provide your feedback to help us: Improve for the 2026 Event Offer new ideas and opportunities and provide data back to our funders and the TPOTI Board. By completing this survey you go into the draw for a Waka Ama NZ Nationals 2026 Event Shirt - to be picked up at Nationals Please complete this survey by the 31st of December 2025! Or just do it now. All Incorporated Societies must meet the requirements of the new 2022 Act and re-register by 5 April 2026. Waka Ama Aotearoa NZ has now updated our constitution, which you can view on our website. We’ve created a support page with key information, a checklist, and an easy-to-adapt constitution template to help clubs through the process. Please ensure your club is familiar with the new Act and completes re-registration on time. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
