Venue: Whakatane Information Centre,
Quay Street. Races held on Whakatane River (Ohinemataroa)

Races will start from the information centre and go all the way down to the end of the wharf just past the Fishing Club

Waka's will be called up to the false start line by a white flag
Then a Red flag will be placed in the air for teams to move up to the Start line and STOP!
Green Flag will be raised and waka's will have started
False Start Flag will be a Black Flag
The White Flag will be raised on the side of the river
The Red and Green Flags will be on a boat in the middle of the river
