ROTOHOE
The next Rotohoe will involve only a single W6 20 km race over the longer distance involving both men,women and mixed racing together. Singles for men and women will be run separately. There is only a single Novice race which will be the 1st race on the day followed by the mens singles. As this is the last Rotohoe of the year prizes will be given at the end of the race progarmme. This will either be at the Race venue or if inclement weather avails it will happen at a local venue in Ngongotaha. Ruamata will notify you of the venue change closer to race day if that is needed.

WAIKUTA SERIES
Please note that Ruamata will run a series of races for singles,2man,3man and Stand Up Paddlers over June July and August which will involve racing in the above categories over the following distances: A long race of 10 km, a 500 m sprint, a 1000 m sprint and a 2000 m sprint at Waikuta, Ngongotaha on Lake Rotorua. There will be a $10 entry fee. There will be no age differentiation. There will be a Safety Boat for the long race which will be the 1st race on each race day.An aggregate of points will be taken so that in August the best will face the best,the better will face the better and the good will face the good..

THE GREAT LAKES RACE
Ruamata are looking forward to undertaking this race in early November 2011 which will be over a distance of 30 km ( not 60 km). We hope you paddlers will book this into your diaries to paddle 2 lakes as 1 as an iron man event.. However Ruamata will run a 60 km event over the 2 lakes as a"change race" and at some stage as a singles event over the next few years subject to approval from authorities inclusive of Rotorua District Council, Environment BOP and Maritime.
