We have already sold one waka and have a W1 Barracuda available for sale with a stainless steel rudder which we have just finished building a few days ago (See W1 half yellow and red on the photo below).

It is a new and very innovative style of Tahitian Waka, designed and built by Frederic Teiva Esposito from Maui Kanu, based in Rotorua. Frederic is Tahitian born and comes from a family of Waka builders in Tahiti.

The W1 Barracuda model is 7.05m long, weights approx. 13 kgs (rudderless), and 15 kgs (rudder and pedal system). The Barracuda is designed for speed with an ama for both the flat and rough water conditions and built with stronger and lighter materials.
