2004 New Zealand Maori World Champions

Hinerupe Maidens success at the NZ Maori Sports Awards.

Congratulations to Emma Pere, Merepeka Te Ua, Tania Hills, Te Amohaere Hauiti- Parapara, Courtenay Waikari, Jaclyn Wilkie, Courtney McClutchie, coach Kiwi Takao and manager Raewynne Wilkie, members of the J16 Womens crew from Horouta Waka Hoe in Te Uranga o Te Ra.

Their success at the NZ Maori Sports Awards on Saturday 4 December 2004 in Auckland is not only a major achievement for the girls and their club, but for waka ama in general.

What a magnificent achievement and exciting event for the team, their club and particularly their whanau that have supported them over the years. We look forward to this team continuing in their pursuit of excellence.
