The Indian summer was still with us and paddlers enjoyed fine and calm conditions over the racecourse, which was out and around Bean Rock. As is now normal for these events the number of competitors was large and competition close.

The one disappointment for organisers was the number of unregistered teams competing and the breaking of rules relating to uniforms and waka numbers. Many paddlers and teams were DQ'd for these infringements. AROCA will continue to take a tough line on these rules, so be warned!!
