Notice - Lake Karapiro Algae
For those that have concerns over the potential lake closure, we have had discussions with the Karapiro management and the Waipa District Council (this includes Environmental Waikato) and all have assured us that our Event will go ahead.
The notification in the local media is a precaution to ensure the safety of the general public.
Please note the recent rain has helped to reduce the risk dramatically and all algae levels are now well below the minimum.
