A big congratulations goes out to all those paddlers that represented New Zealand at the Aotearoa 2006 - IVF Va'a World Sprint Champs
It has been a long hard road, but the efforts of those involved certainly paid off.
With New Zealand placed 2nd after Tahiti for Gold, and 1st overall with 63 medals in total.
Full credit has to go to those paddlers, coaches, managers and supporters that put in their time.
It was amazing to see, the paddlers, the countries, the waka ama village and of course the racing.
It was great fun being part of the organising team, I think you all deserve a Gold medal for all your efforts and long hours behind the scenes.
