The Waikato provided a clear day for our 3 races. Hamilton's Amazing Holiday Shoppe W6 race was a fun and exciting race for the paddlers. The retrieval of Holiday Shoppe points tested paddlers stop, start skills and became a worthwhile exercise for clubs competing for the $1,000 prize money.

The winner of the top club prize money was Hei Matau who has promised to return and defend their title next year!

Thanks to all those that participated. We certainly acknowledge your support for the sport and the coming together of some top paddlers. The W.D.B.W.A.A is appreciative of the distance travelled by many paddlers, and we hope to build upon this year's effort and offer another exciting race for paddlers next year.
