Points - AROCA 10km Series 2006
Here is the AROCA 10k series points update with two races to go. In most categories the series winners are still not certain, indicating the close racing there has been this year.
The final races to look out for are Master Mens W1 where Owen Pau and Ray Lambert are fighting it out, the Senior Master Mens W1 which is close between Ken Gilbert and Tom Nathan.
Open Womens W6 which could be any one of the four top teams and Master Womens W6 where only 3 points separate the top three teams.
Aside from the top paddlers and teams there is still keen competition with regular changes in placings as conditions, tactics and race fitness has developed or dropped away.
For instance, it has become evident that different sea conditions can benefit different types of W1 waka. The final races are at Bucklands Beach, hosted by Tamaki on 9 September and at Narrow Neck Beach, hosted by Waitakere on 23 September.
