Lake Okareka is the venue for the 2007 Secondary School Waka Ama Champs. Racing goes from Wednesday through to Friday, and it is full-on racing too.

175 races of red hot competition as over 80 secondary shools battle it out to be the champions for 2007.

And if big numbers impress you, then how about this, the panui alone has been viewed over 4000 times already, thats just insane!

So make sure you get along to support those schools, the paddlers, the volunteers, take a day off work if you have to.

Then to top it off, on Saturday the biggest long distance event of the year, the Harbour Challenge in Tauranga.

Can "Team Goodyear" take out the title for 4th year in a row ?
