It was an honour for our club to host waka ama paddlers from all around New Zealand and we appreciate your efforts in training, fundraising and travel to attend this event held for the first time in the South Island.

We especially thank those clubs who brought waka on trailer to the event and loaned their waka to other teams. It was awesome to see so many waka lined up on Kaiteriteri Beach and paddling in the Abel Tasman National Park and it was special for us to share our beautiful playground with the national waka whanau.

We look forward to paddling with you again elsewhere in New Zealand or back here in Kaiteriteri.
