A big thank you to all of those who supported our race.

We had teams and individuals travelling from various destinations; Auckland, Whakatane, Rotorua and as far south as Wellington.

It was unfortunate that 2 of the races were canceled but safety is our highest priority.

Thanks to our Chief Safety Officer Peter Boyd working alongside the Sailing Club and the Harbour Master for making that call for us.

The winds were almost hitting the 50km mark. We are pleased to note that our support boats were then able to rescue and escort other sailing vessels that were struggling to get back to shore also.
