Herberts on Tour - Molokai'i Hoe 2007

Herberts on Tour recently returned from Hawai'i where they competed in the 2007 Molokai'i Hoe – This Race is considered by many Outrigger paddlers to be the World Champs of Long Distance paddling

For 5 paddlers in the crew this was their first Crossing, and for 2 paddlers their 2nd crossing.

The Herberts on Tour finished 15th out of 111 crews, in a time of 5hr 19min and 25 seconds

Crews from such countries as Hawai'i, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Italy and Tahiti competed, Tahitian Teams came in 1st and 2nd breaking last years record and Team NZ / Hawaii with NZer Andy Penny coming in 3rd. Rick Nu'u also a NZer living in Hawaii was in the 4th placed Team - Hawaiian Canoe Club

Te Awa Haku Dogfish from the Sth Island came in 24th overall in a time of 5hr 30min and 46 seconds.
