What is dragonboating doing on a Waka Ama site?

Well reality is, a lot of people who do Waka Ama, have at some time or another done dragonboat too.

So all those (like myself) who have done dragonboat back in the olds days, may wish to help out here.

The NZDBA are currently building a website, however an important part of that is gathering information on how dragonboating arrived in NZ,when,what, who and why.

For those that have long memories could you document those humble beginnings with first competing teams highlights, stories and anything else you can remember.

Please circulate to other dragonboaters who could assist also.

For NZDBA info on when the first committee was born, who were on the exec, changes to exec etc and any stories to capture the history of the NZDBA would be appreciated also.
