NKOA - 2008 Executive Elections Notice
The NKOA AGM will be held on 30 August 2008 at a venue in the Hoe Tonga Region (exact venue to be advised).
NOMINATIONS AND VOTING - EXECUTIVE
The term is complete for the current NKOA Executive.
In accordance with Rule 9.2 of the NKOA Constitution the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Council shall be nominated by Regions and elected by votes of the Regions.
Regions may submit votes for one person only in each position, but in respect of that person shall be entitled to one vote for each club financially affiliated to that region.
A timetable has been set for election of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Nominations from Regions to be received by 8pm 25 July
Nominations announced via Website 28 July
Regions to Vote (one person only for each position, votes to equate to number of Registered clubs in that region)
Voting closes
19 August
Elections announced 30th August (AGM)
REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES ON COUNCIL
Regional representatives are appointed annually. In accordance with Rule 9.3 of the NKOA Constitution. Council members, other than the Executive Officers, shall be appointed by Regions annually and confirmed at each Region’s AGM. Regions should appoint their representatives in time for the NKOA AGM.
