Worlds 2008 - Signing out

Ha ha, you thought you got rid of me. But I am still here to torment you about the weather.

Today I am a tourist, no waka, no results, no timing...
In fact, not even computers today... (I was sneaky and preloaded this story to the website 2 days ago)

The week has flown by so fast, I am so not looking forward to that flight home.
Not because I don't want to come home, but because of that dam armrest on the plane.

San Francisco is the destination for today,
Come on, you can't come this far without going over the Golden Gate Bridge now can you...

I must say, when I first heard that the World Sprints was in America, I wasn't overly excited.
America was not on my top 10 tropical holiday destinations list.

But that has changed....
I can't speak for all of America because it is such a "Big" place, but the small part of California I have seen is really awesome, everyone here is so friendly, polite and helpful, and the weather is something else.

I have had a fantastic time, met heaps of great people, and I hope to come back again one day

I am not sure if I would bring the kids (at this age) due to the length of the flight, besides we would probably get kicked off the plane for drawing on the seats.

So if you do come this way...
1. Don't drive on the wrong side of the road
2. Do check out "The Residence Inn Folsom"
3. Definitely do the "Alcatraz Race"
4. Enjoy the sunshine

I put a bit of time into writing these stories, I hope you have enjoyed them, and I will see you back in NZ soon

And like all star studded celebrities, I would like to thank (and in no particular order)
The locals, Linda, Diana, Debbie, Anthony, Marilyn, Roger, Keith, Phil, Laura, Hana, Andrea, Roo, (insert your name here, sorry there are too many for me to remember all your names) for making everyone feel so welcome
Shaun "The Little General" Hardcastle for bossing everyone around,
Sprint Nationals admin team, Hellen, Maggie, Marinna for helping make the event run smoothly
Marinna, Corina and Lara for chauffeuring me around
Te Maia for hanging out with me
and lastly Becs & Cameron & Matthew for letting me come... miss you.
