Cost = $2 Juniors, $5 adults
10am start time
waka and paddling blades provided
Pack up a lunch and come join the fun.
No training necessary, just rely on memory and exhilaration
If you will be inheriting some whanau for the school holidays bring them down for a fun laid back day.

Categories are:

• Open mixed
• Open Junior mixed

Maximum of 3 experienced paddlers per team preferred (remember it's all about whanau)
If you haven't got enough for a team we can make up the numbers.
Teams can identify and represent their iwi. If you have a melting pot of iwi and Nationalities be creative and represent your geographical region eg, (North Shore = Te Raki Pae Whenua).

Last race of the day will be a straight final – Whanau Katoa.
Whanau Katoa teams can reconfigure from the junior and open crews that have competed over the day. A whanau katoa team MUST be an immediate descendant (Mum, Dad, brother, sister, son, daughter…) Experience of paddlers Rule exempt ie can have more than 3 experienced paddlers, nut must have one paddler under 15 years of age.
Prizegiving immediately after races - Trophies and medals for winners.
