World Champions celebrated at Sports Awards
A grand night of celebration alongside sports stars, celebrities, politicians, dignitaries and whanau was held in Rotorua recently. They were the prestigious Aotearoa Maori Sports Awards for 2008.
Waka Ama World Champions were recognised for their achievements at a very glitzy and glamorous evening.

The dedication and commitment to the sport by these chosen few, gives Waka Ama a huge step up in the sporting arena. It has been a great year for Waka Ama and we look forward to seeing more finalists in 2009!
