Results - Maungatapu Dash 2009

The Annual Maungatapu Dash saw a good turn out from teams from as far as Gisborne!

Blustery conditions saw a bit of side chop on the far leg of the course, with a couple of crews flipping (apparently cause they were hot!). It was a hot day in fact, but the wind took the edge off the heat.

This year's race has less W6 teams but double the number of W1 paddlers competing. Good on you all!

We are starting to see some great development in the Juniors with a highly competitive Juniors / Novice race, with the top mens crews then competing in the Open Mens race immediately following.

Thanks to all who competed and to the club members who raced and helped out. Hope to see you all next year!

Lost Property
I was wondering if anyone had picked up a Compact Inflatable Life-Jack at the Maungatapu Race today? Our truck was parked near the portable toilet. Its in a Clear pack with a red ribbon in one corner and the lifejacket if yellow. Its about 20cm x 20cm big. If you have seen it or know anyone who has seen it, would you be able to e-mail me:
