the calm of Pilot Bay, the washing machine of the 'Harbour entrance', the surf run down the coast then a hard beat up the coast and back through the washing machine and a sprint to the finish, along the way the paddlers passed penguins, sea lions, had kahawai jumping beside the waka and there were even reports of a whale being sighted.
As usual there was plenty of hot soup and BBQ sausages for all.
