Unlike previous years, where the the entry fee was determined by the division you raced in. This year (2010) the entry fee is based on your age in 2010.

If you are a midget in 2010, then you pay the midget entry fee, regardless of if you race in intermediates or not.

Why the change?
1. To reduce costs a little bit for juniors. Where the entry fees are usually paid by mum and dad, when there are several children this can add up.

2. To reduce administration.
On race day we often get a lot of people coming in and requesting that their paddler races up a grade cause so and so got hurt, etc.

In previous years, the team manager needed to come in, we have to update the roster with the paddler in the new race division, invoice the $10 difference, collect the money and update the race programme.

In 2010 you don't have to do any of that.
Every paddler that is on your roster can race in any division that they are eligible for.
