Photos - Mitamitaga Club Regatta
A big thank you to all the teams that participated at our annual regatta, especially the teams that travelled from the Far North, Auckland and Raglan.
A fantastic day was had by all those that attended. All divisions raced a 500m, 1000m, and also the 3000m which is always a great race around the Tutukaka entrance rock, this year with nice bumpy conditions, and always spectacular waters.
The regatta began as always, nice and early, with the Peter Muijlwik relay race which was won by Nga Hoe Horo, 2nd Mitamitaga and 3rd Nga Hoe Horo/Whaingaroa mix. Thanks to those teams that paddled this special Miti event.
Parihaka teams, especially the Master women, and their W1 paddlers shone throughout the day in their races, well done to this new club.
Open men’s division in all races taken out strongly by Herberts On Tour. The newly formed Mitamitaga Blue Heelers did very well in the open women’s division, winning the 500m and 1000m.
Of course, in the spirit of our sport, all teams were awesome.
