Results - AROCA W1 Trials and Final Quota

An enjoyble day had by all with sizzling temperatures and results to match.

The new cut throat one trial only, proved to bring out the best in many paddlers seeing a birth of new talent out on the water battling out with all time favourites.

Buoy2Buoy paddlers reigned supreme in the intermediate categories reinforcing the added advantage that winter paddling has for you.
Many new faces emerged from the senior women categories with the usual stalwart warriors in the senior mens divisions.

Military like organisation by the Taniwha women enabled a synchronised marshalling of paddlers on and off the water, paddlers more afraid of the volunteers in loading bay than their opposition.

Many thanks for the use of Te Paerangi's Safety boat and Te Pou Herenga's buoys, allowing us to create a course fitting for the 30 scheduled heats we pushed through in 3 hours.

To everyone that helped out on the day and leading up to the event , without your support the day could not be a success.

To all the paddlers that competed today you were a credit to yourselves, and in closing to those W1 paddlers that made the AROCA quota your journey has only just begun.
