The event sponsored by Air Tahiti Nui, saw 4 champions crowned! and 4 Paddlers given the opportunity to travel to Tahiti and compete in the worlds biggest Va'a Race - TE AITO!

Traveling paddlers are;
Vesna Radonich - Open Women
Shannon Moon - Open Men
Hemi Wahapango - Junior Men
Dale Thomas - Junior Women

These 4 paddlers will depart NZ on 13th July to Tahiti. The Women and Junior races are on Friday 16Th July and the Mens race is on Saturday 17 th. The Start line of the mens race has over 650 men lined up for the start. It is massive!

The Women and Juniors will race over 14km and the Senior Men will race over 28km

Along with the 4 winnerS of the Air Tahiti Nui Aotearoa Aito there are also 3 other Junior Boys going to compete, Jackson Tamaariki-Campbell,Joshua Perese,Maddison Johns. TE AITO race is open to anyone...so if you want to have the paddling experience of a lifetime...then start thinking about next year...get out on a rudderless V1 ..and go for it!

All up there are 28 supporters travelling to Tahiti over the next 2 weeks to cheer our paddlers on! It is going to be a great trip.
