You were awesome, we thankyou for putting on a spectacular day in true Matariki whanau-stylz (with an of edge competitiveness).

It was great to see the contingency of World Paddlers mixing in with the best local talent we could find in Tai Tokerau.

We contacted the weather station to turn the dial to waka conditions – proving we are the winterless north and giving you a tour of "life beyond the Harbour Bridge".

Our apologies on the late results, we had to make sure we captured the right people on the finish line, otherwise there would have been a new contingent of unknowns beating the best of the best in the country.
