This year is the 10th year since Chrissy Herbert fell ill with an Aneurysm while competing in the Womens Race in 2001
The Womens Race is a Memorial to Chrissy and the prestigious trophy carved by Jim Herbert is awarded to the first womens team to cross the line

CLUB POINTS CASH PRIZE
We will be awarding a $250 Cash Prize to the Club with the most points
Points will be awarded as follows for divisions with more than 8 entries
1st = 6 points
2nd = 5 points
3rd = 4 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 2 points

1 point for all participating non placing teams.

Kia ora paddlers,
We have changed the Venue for the Whaingaroa Hoe this year to be solely at the Kokiri (Whaingaroa Ki te Whenua), Riria Kereopa Memorial Drive, Raglan - this is where the meal and prizegiving is and the race was originally held here for the first 10 or so years This is very special whenua and has great importance for people of Whaingaroa, please no smoking, drinking or drugs while you are here, Please treat the Whenua and Tangata Whenua with respect. CANOE TRAILER PARKING
You can bring your Waka in from 5pm till 8pm Friday and from 6am Saturday
An area for trailer parking will be clearly marked

Is now full - We are happy to be hosting Whanau and Friends of Chrissy Herbert who will be watching the 24km Womens and Mixed Race in the morning.

Race Distance has changed from 7km to 12km

NOVICE AND JUNIOR RACE DISTANCE CHANGE
Due to the Change in Race Venue, our Novice and Junior Race Course is now 8km
