More Long Distance Nationals Information

Long Distance Nationals is almost here! And it is shaping up to be a fantastic event! Attached is further race program information.

Prizegiving will be held on Saturday at the race venue head quarters: Kaiti Beach Yacht Club straight after the last race. This will be followed by Kai and social gathering.

The Te Unga Mai festival will also be taking place on Saturday and there are activities planned as well as big screens set up to watch the Rugby World Cup Quarter Finals on Saturday night. You can check out more details at http://www.teungamai.com/festivals.html


Secure storing of wakas at the venue on Friday night (security 7pm-5am) and those arriving Thursday can leave at the Marae ([email protected])

SUP and waka paddlers are welcome to attend free SUP workshop 10am Sunday (venue and details will be confirmed on saturday)

Race Briefing 8:15am

1st race 9:00am
· W1 Women’s - rudderless
· W1 Men’s - ruddered
· W2 Women’s and mixed
· Junior’s all races W2 - W1 ruddered/rudderless male and female

12:00pm
· W1 Men’s rudderless
· W1 Women’s ruddered
· W2 Men’s

**Note – paddlers will be responsible to ensure their W1s are weighed at a minimum of 16kg as per race rules**
Weighing will take place from 6:45am on Race morning.
All Waka for first race will need to be weighed prior to race breifing at 8:15am and 11:15for 2nd race.

REMINDER:
All paddlers and crews to bring NKOA ID CARDS
All paddlers will be required to sign safety Waiver forms attached. You may download and come prepared for a smooth rego if you wish.
