W6 WAKA Support for 2013 Takapuna Beach Cup
With 15 International crews already signed up, the 2013 Takapuna Beach Cup will have a record number of International teams and so, we are in need of WAKA! We are asking for clubs to check your paddling calendars to see if you have any W6 waka available to loan out.
- We will need the Waka for either 1 or 2 days, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd February 2013 (this depends if the crew will be doing the Friday race)
- The cost of hiring a waka is $300 which will be paid to the club via bank transfer
- Clubs will need to supply
a. Canoe in good condition
b. Tow rope
c. 2x spare lashings
d. 1x MSA Approved Flare
e. 6x MSA Approved Lifejackets
f. Spray Skirts and Hoops
