BEREAVEMENT - Parekura Horomia
Nga Kaihoe O Aotearoa - Waka Ama New Zealand are saddened with the news of the passing of Parekura Horomia
Parekura was a staunch supporter of waka ama for many many years. He was a regular face at Sprint Nationals and other waka ama events around the country.
Parekura was also a major supporter of the 2006 IVF World Sprint Championships that were hosted by Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa at Lake Karapiro, and he assisted in many ways to ensure that event was a success.
On behalf of Nga Kaihoe O Aotearoa we send our deepest sympathies to Parekura's whanau and many friends.
