Vacancy - National Development Manager
Nga Kaihoe O Aotearoa (Waka Ama New Zealand) is seeking to appoint a National Development Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of New Zealands fastest growing sports.
The purpose of the role is to plan and deliver a national sport development plan that supports clubs and regions to grow their membership and to provide inclusive pathways for athletes, coaches and officials.
The plan will include pathways and delivery for able and disabled paddlers in line with the organisations strategic plan.
The National Development Manager will report to the Chief Executive. The National Development Manager must work closely with the co-ordinators of clubs, schools, athletes, coaches and officials providing effective and efficient communication and support for the delivery of the National Development Plan.
The successful candidate will have experience in Sport Development as well as planning, leadership skills and the ability to build relationships. They will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
They must be comfortable to support and promote the values of the sport of Waka Ama and work with a team whose goal is to work towards achieving Waka Ama's 25 year vision.
