Waikato Awa Race Results
This year Nga Tai Whakarongo had just under 150 paddler’s participating in the W6, W2 and W1 racing for the 2nd Annual Regatta of the Waikato Awa Race. Grades ranged from Juniors, Open, Masters and Senior Masters.
The paddlers came from as far as Kaitaia in the North Island, Nga Hoe Horo Outrigger Canoe Club to the South Island – Fire and Ice Outrigger Canoe Club in Dunedin and Te Waka Pounamu in Christchurch.
We had representation from 18 clubs Nationwide with support from the regional body Te Puku o te Ika, who were in attendance.
