We invite W6 crews to the Great Lakes Race - a 30 km traverse of Lakes Rotorua and Rotoiti. Three weeks or so of persistent winds from the West and South bode well for the 2013 Great Lakes Race, as the previous years have also proven. 



This race is for experienced crews only. Please note the following safety rules:

A nominated crew member will provide an on-board mobile emergency ph number for race director reference.

Waka crew have a nominated paddler who knows tip n tow techniques ( this will be checked @ waka checks ).

All waka to carry an emergency flare.

All waka to carry bailers / have spray skirt.

All waka to carry PDFs
All competitors must be fit and competent to complete the course
All Waka must complete a safety check
EVERY PADDLER MUST SIGN AN INDIVIDUAL WAIVER (see attachment)

Cost: $40 per paddler (which includes soup and hangi)*
