Burglary of Waka Ama Club in New Plymouth

The club had recently had a delivery for the new season of a number of Super Session paddles. Most were still in their bubble wrap. The club name had been recorded in indelible ink on the shaft of the paddles.

Sometime during the long weekend Ōtaikōkako Waka Ama Club based at Ngāmotu Beach in New Plymouth had their club broken into and almost all of their paddles (30) stolen, this has devastated the members.  Fortunately the Club are insured, however it's unlikely that they will get cover for all that has been stolen.  Thirty paddles are a lot to move, and some were new.

Included is a picture example of the paddles which were taken - new Super Session custom carbon/Kevlar steering paddles (middle/named), kia loa/kia kaha steering paddles, black/red/pink kia kaha paddles, & new kialoa double bend paddles.  The police have been informed.
