Richard Pehi, has been appointed as the coach of the New Zealand Para Va'a team that will compete at the IVF Va'a World Distance Championships in Australia 2019.

Richard will be supported by Jo Beverland (nee Pikia) as the manager of the New Zealand Para Va'a team. Both Richard and Jo bring a lot of waka ama experience and passion for Para Va'a in Aotearoa to their respective roles.

Selection Process

The coaching team welcome all those that are interested in participating in this selection process and in competing in Australia August 2019. We are looking forward to working with each of you high performance athletes.

Remember, anyone can be high performance through high performance effort!
