On behalf of our Pakuranga Outrigger Canoe Club, I would like to thank you all for your Participation, Support, and Assistance with this Regatta Series. We have decided to cancel this last regatta on October the 5th as we now know most clubs are fully focused on Sprint training.
The regatta has served its purpose, and served it well... we believe. All the feedback received to date has been positive, from all those who have competed, team coaches, supporters, and spectators. The atmosphere at these regatta's on and off the water has been awesome, the coffee and food stalls were certainly something special.
We ourselves have thoroughly enjoyed running this series and the knowledge gained has been tremendous. We certainly look forward to next year and providing an experience that will ensure paddlers will continue to fully enjoy our sport of Waka Ama.
