Hauraki Series 2021
Our collective whanau of clubs would like to welcome you to the Hauraki Series 2021. Together we join forces to bring you a series of 4 races in 4 different venues on four different types of water. Each venue has it's own set of challenges and will give you a taste of our slice of paradise in the rohe of Hauraki along the Peninsula that is known as Te Tara o Te Ika a Maui - the barb of the stingray of Maui!
Race 2 is based on the beach and takes in the stunning coastline and islands of Whangamatā.
The Novice race is behind the shelter of the islands to provide the calmest conditions while the 15km race heads out along the coastline.
Should the swell be too big for a safe beach launch we will move to the shelter of the harbour. This allows the novice race to take place safely in the harbour while the 15km race can go out the harbour mouth and still race on the ocean.
We look forward to hosting you in Whangamatā. Nau mai, Haere mai!
Race distance: 8-15km
Must race 3 in 3 races to accumulate points
Medals, spot prizes and taonga for the series are given out at the final race for the series.
