Secondary School Waka Ama Nationals _Update
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and the uncertainty surrounding that, we will be extending the entry close date for the National Secondary School Waka Ama Championships to Tuesday 9th March.
The following table shows the new date deadlines:

Paddler (name) registrations close. Schools will be
invoiced from this date- Subject to a completed roster |

Paddler ID Cards close – Photos must be uploaded by
this date |

We will provide a further update to all schools on Monday 8th March once
the Government has outlined the next steps in this current COVID outbreak.
We are hopeful that the Secondary School Nationals can
go ahead, however, the following information may aid your school with knowledge
of our decisions regarding this event moving forward related to COVID-19

If all of Aotearoa is at Level 2 or higher;

Waka
Ama Secondary School Nationals will be cancelled. |
|
If the Rotorua Region is at Level 2 or
higher;
|
Waka
Ama Secondary School Nationals will be cancelled. |
|
If one or some Regions (Other than Rotorua) are in Level 2 or higher; |
The Waka Ama Secondary School Nationals
will be cancelled however the Board of Waka Ama New Zealand may consider
hosting a modified format event for participation purposes for those schools
that are in Level 1.
