It is through the initiative of FAI VA’A that we are inspired to continue hosting this event to
celebrate our RANGATIRA. To acknowledge George’s passion for Waka Ama and his tireless
work with many youth in our community over the years. FAI VA’A has generously donated a
V1 Waka to be used at our discretion and will be drawn at prizegiving. See further in the
pānui for more information.

TPHW are pleased to announce our 3rd year running our event in memory of our Rangatira, George Pomana.
