Appointed Coaches - Waka Ama New Zealand 2022 IVF World Sprints Championships

Waka Ama New Zealand is pleased to announce the Elite/J19 Women Coaches and the Junior 19 Mens Coach for the 2022 IVF World Sprints Championships (7th-16th August 2022 - Dorney Lake in Windsor, United Kingdom)

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 IVF Va'a World Sprints, Waka Ama NZ extended the invitation to our 2020 campaign coaches to take up their roles once again for the 2022 Campaign.

We are pleased to announce the following appointed coaches for our 2022 World Elite Sprints Campaign:

  • Kiwi Campbell (Elite & J19 Women's Head Coach)
  • Sieda Tureia (Elite  & J19 Women's Assistant Coach)
  • Patrick Rimene (Junior 19 Men's Coach)

Due to the current COVID environment in Aotearoa and around the World, we know times are uncertain.

Therefore,  Waka Ama NZ and our coaches are committed to running a full Elite Campaign and providing a pathway for our Waka Ama paddlers to be selected to represent Aotearoa, regardless of whether COVID prevents teams from travelling to the World Sprints - we will keep everyone updated on future opportunities if for any reason the World Sprints Event in London is impacted by COVID.

Selection information and timelines will be provided soon. We will also be advertising for an Elite Men's Coach Role and the Para Va'a Coach shortly

Please contact [email protected] if you have any further questions

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou -  Kiwi, CC and Paddy - we are looking forward to a great campaign!
