On Monday our very own Waka Ama NZ CEO Lara Collins received the prestigious C.K. Doig Leadership award at the 2022 Sport and Recreation Awards held in Christchurch
On Monday evening our very own Waka Ama NZ CEO Lara Collins received the prestigious C.K. Doig Leadership award at the 2022 Sport and Recreation Awards held in Christchurch.
This is awarded to a person in the sports sector who displays outstanding leadership in relation to their organisation or the sector as a whole.
Those who know Lara will know her relentless work ethic and her dedication to anything that she does. Under Lara’s leadership not only in Aotearoa but on an international scale our beloved sport has flourished. Throughout the years Lara has remained her kind, humble, and committed self, never hesitating to roll up her sleeves where needed. This award is an acknowledgment of her leadership not only in the Sport and Recreation sector but in everything that she does.
On behalf of the Waka Ama NZ board, our staff, our waka ama whānau (many of whom are Lara’s dear friends), the wider sports communities, and the Lara vortex 🌀 - we congratulate Lara on winning the 2022 C.K. Doig Leadership award.
