He Aituā - Mere Taylor-Tuiloma

On behalf of the Taylor-Tuiloma whānau this is a pānui to inform whānau of the passing of our wonderful mum, aunty, sister, cousin and dear friend Mere Taylor-Tuiloma. She passed surrounded by her loved ones, her tamariki Heremia Tuiloma, Ngāreta Teira-Tuiloma, Romana Tuiloma.

We would like to thank everyone for their love and support throughout the many years the waka ama community have created a second home for us and our mum. Mum was always among the first to put their hand up to support waka events both on and off the water. She appreciated each and every one of you, ka ora tonu ia i a koutou.

Details on Mere's final journey are still being confirmed, if our waka whānau would like to koha to the whānau please see the account details on this post - https://www.facebook.com/tumamao.harawira/posts/pfbid0uqN9Q6uj48C1vffsvZCXMyEAXheJnJdzRZqb7tShkp2y5sbNEqVH6mipT3G3iwBNl

Mere's passing will be felt throughout our waka ama whānau, especially our Te Tai Tokerau whānau. Mere was a staunch supporter of waka events and kaupapa around the motu and she will be missed dearly by us all. E marino ana te wai, moe mai rā e te whaea
