To all AROCA Clubs We have recently had two board members stand down after a much appreciated time on the board. Sandra Staub and Josh Perese have been members of the Board since its inception in 2015. Both Sandra and Josh have made a great contribution the Region, not only in furthering our strategic goals (especially, Sandra with finance and Josh with competition), but also at the AROCA events throughout the year. Unfortunately, changed work pressures for both Sandra and Josh has led to their resignations. Both the Board, and we are sure all our member clubs, thank them for their support and input over that time, and we wish them well. In accordance with the AROCA Constitution we wish to fill these Board vacancies.

What a fantastic day at the final event of the Waka Ama (Canoe) events. A beautiful day at Takapuna Beach led to great results on the water. Thank you to all of our international paddlers that journeyed to New Zealand, some from as far away as Russia, and not so far away as Australia. Good luck to any paddlers carrying on with further World Masters Games events. Thank you to Barfoot and Thompson for your support and finally our amazing crew of green volunteers that have worked tirelessly throughout the week to deliver a world class event!!! The first day of Waka Ama racing at the 2017 World Master Games kicked off today at Lake Pupuke. There were some close finals out on the water. The perfect flat conditions, also lead to some pretty good times across the finish line. Congratulations to those teams that won medals today in the V12 racing. We will see you on the water tomorrow for the V1 Finals and V6 Heats.
