Lake Kawana , Sunshine Coast Australia, Last week played host to the International Va’a Federation World Sprint Championships! This was the 17th edition of the Championships which saw the best of the best from 23 countries and 2200 paddlers battle it out on the water for world championship titles.

It was a great turn out to the 22nd Annual Whaingaroa Hoe, with 100 teams representing 30 Clubs. Continuing along with the luck of recent years we were also blessed with amazing weather. Thank you to all of you who returned for another year and to the many first time paddlers at Whaingaroa, we hope to see you back in 2017. See attached race report.
