We are ecstatic we got through another Series Race on Saturday with our Mauao Ocean Series 2. A mega high 5 to all those individuals, teams and clubs who made the trip to Mount Maunganui, clocking up additional kilometres and experience on their paddlemetre. We were presented with a variable range of winds, cloud cover, warm sun, surf break turns, wishy washy salt water, successful capsize righting and ultimate cutting the gap paddling to excite those daring enough to give it a go! Hoe Aroha Whanau o Mauao thank the waka community for your support in our efforts to raise funds for our Club. We also extend appreciation for adhering to L2 Covid Sanctioning rules in order to keep our waka whanau safe and to ensure we can continue to provide paddling & racing opportunities. Please find race results for Mauao Ocean Series 2. Race photos can be found on facebook at Hoe Aroha Waka Ama Club.
