NKOA have sought information regarding the risk of another algal bloom incident. It turns out there is about a 92% chance that a serious algal bloom problem will not occur.

NKOA regards this as an acceptable risk. However, paddlers should be aware that, if in the unlikely event there is a serious problem, then the event may need to be cancelled.
