Results - Whaingaroa Challenge 2006
A big thank you to all those who came and paddled in the Whaingaroa Harbour Challenge 2006.
A special thanks to the Herbert whanau who travelled from the north to be with us again this year - me te mihi nui.
Although the thunder rumbled over the maunga, the harbour was calm and flat and the rain stayed away for the day. The field was varied, with some crews racing for their first time.
To all paddlers and whanau - we hope that you enjoyed your day and went home full after an awesome kai.
Congratulations to Waitakere on a successful day, taking away the WEL Energy Trust Trophy for Best Club Performance, the Chrissy Herbert Memorial Trophy and the W6 Open Women.
Fittingly, the W6 Open Men was won by Herberts on Tour - Nga Hoe Horo.
Look forward to seeing you all again in 2007!
