Conditions started off beautiful and picked up late in the morning. There were 13 teams that competed and finished one of the toughest races in NZ.

A huge thank you to the Tutukaka Coastguard. Communication between the support boats and the Coastguard was second to none.

Thank you to the Sugarloaf committee that made it possible for everyone to paddle and also to our club, Mitamitaga O le Pasefika Canoe Club.

To all the paddlers that made the day, well done. You came, you paddled or of course, had a big kai.
